5 Things to do Near Washington Square

Washington Square is one of the top shopping destinations in Oregon. The mall and surrounding are located in the city of Tigard. If you find yourself staying near Washington Square during your visit to Oregon’s Tualatin Valley, don’t miss out on these things to do nearby.

1. Shop at the Washington Square Mall

Washington Square is Oregon’s premier shopping center with four major department stores, including Oregon’s largest Nordstrom, and more than 170 specialty stores. Visitors will enjoy tax-free shopping, ample free parking and many dining options including Din Tai Fung, Ezell’s Famous Chicken and 85C Bakery Café.

2. Play at the Red Tail Golf Center

The RedTail Golf Center is an 18 hole golf course with a driving range , lessons for any age, a pro shop and restaurant, The Stockpot.

3. Run or walk the Fanno Creek Trail

Stretching between three cities—Beaverton, Tigard and Tualatin over 18.6 miles—the Fanno Creek Trail provides ample opportunities to explore Tualatin Valley’s prime cycling and nature walks in a relaxed environment. There are many entry points onto the Fanno Creek Trail, including from Main Street in downtown Tigard where there are functional bike racks and tire pumps available as well as many shops and eateries.

4. Eat in Downtown Tigard

The Main Street of Tigard is a place to explore all on its own. For a great meal, check out one of the many restaurants along the strip. Bailey’s Burger Shop is favorite for classic burgers, fries, chilidogs and more. Tigard Taphouse has a great beer selection, light bites all served on one of the best patios around. One of the newest restaurants is Cooper Mountain Ale Works, making a name for itself by brewing hard to find beers and serving a variety of tasty classic pub fare and pizza.

5. Shop Local

Downtown Tigard is also home to local businesses if you want to shop small. Well-known Curiosities vintage mall is the perfect place to peruse antique furniture, clothing, jewelry and other goods.
